Measure before you shortlist

Wall width, wall height above the counter, and clearance for the front panel to open. Most wall-mounted RO units need roughly 35 x 45 cm plus 15 cm of service clearance.

Where the reject line drains

The RO waste line needs a permanent route to a drain. If the only option is a bucket, choose a zero-waste or high-recovery model, or plan for the plumbing before purchase.

Socket position and safety

The purifier needs a dedicated 5 A socket, positioned so the cable does not run across a wet counter or behind a hob.

Service access

Filters are changed two to three times a year for a decade. A unit crammed above a wall cabinet costs you on every one of those visits.
