Clean Air Delivery Rate in m³/hr is the only figure that compares two purifiers honestly. Where a maker does not publish one, we say so rather than estimating it.

HEPA for particulate, carbon for smoke

They do different jobs. HEPA captures PM2.5; activated carbon deals with VOCs, smoke and odour. A unit without carbon will not fix a smoky room.

Filters are the running cost
